After decades of experience in the design-trade industry, Molly was helping a fellow design professional pack up to move across the country. She was asked to return an incredible stash of memo textile samples, which she knew nothing about having been in the tile and stone part of the design industry. Ever the dumpster diver — instead of tossing all this expensive fabric into the trash, what was the best and easiest way to turn them into something beautiful? Pillows!

Most often the samples are small sizes not large enough to create even a whole pillow. Endless combinations of mixes in the " right" flavor created the concept of the Collections.

So Molly set out on a mission and started Studio M. Dedicated to leading the industry, reducing textile waste, and creating sustainable, designer pillows and soft goods.
